  Clinic Reviews from Revelstoke, BC....

"I noticed that the more the horse responded to any of the lessons, the more I liked the horse. He's not a poop-head after all. It's nice to see not just a change in the horse's attitude, but in the riders as well." ........ Leah

"Just to let you know that you definitely made a huge impact on all of us." ........Leah & Dianna, Selkirk Saddle Club

"I appreciate your approach to solving everyone's problems at the basic level rather than just touching on an area and moving on, meanwhile leaving people stranded. Old 'Flash' and I identified lots of problem areas with your help and we'll definitely do more courses in the future." ........ Alan S.

"I liked how (Steve) keeps on a problem until everyone understands. (He) is very approachable, no matter how silly a question may be asked. (He) has a good sense of humor and makes everyone at ease." ........Dalyce M.

"I learned a lot regarding myself as well as about my horse. Steve stressed the importance of repetition and consistency and the improvement I saw in my horse and my techniques was astounding. I learned that my horse can break at the poll after all." ........Wade D.
  Clinic Reviews from Ottawa, ON...

"Loved the clinic! A real eye-opener--made me realize what little control I had over my horse. I have a young mare, she'll be 5 years old in April 2002. She's very stubborn. Last summer she used to try so often to buck me off. To my relief she never succeeded. But since the clinic last October, Misty, my mare never tried to buck me off. I've learned a lot about cues, when she does something good, (I) never ever forget to release. When we bought her, I couldn't trust her with other horses being around her or in the arena. Now there could be 50 horses near us and it wouldn't bother a bit. That's how much I trust her. She's my partner, we understand one another. She's getting to be a pretty good horse. I'm proud of what I achieved with her. I'm proud of what we can do together. Thanks to you, Steve. (You have) opened a door and given me hope--Thanks!" ........ Josee L.

"Steve was wonderful to work with! If it wasn't for (him), I'm not sure that I would have three horses in my backyard pasture. I think I would have given it all up by now. Thank you so much for teaching me how to like, trust and work positively and progressively with my horses." ........ Monique B.

"(The idea of) "graduating cues" (was) very helpful. My horse knows now she won't win maybe as often or maybe not at all. Gives me even more confidence. You showed me how to relate to a horse and to learn things about them. Very interesting! I enjoyed very much working with you." ........ Josée L.

"All in all, this (clinic) was a huge success and everyone learned something about their horses and themselves whether they know it or not....a big thank you for coming down to see us and helping us out. I hope it was worth it for you, because it was priceless for us." ........Serge, Josée, Amanda

Well, I had to thank you again for one of the greatest weekends I've had in a long time...I was worried my money was going to be wasted, since I didn't really know what it was really all about. The only thing I knew was there was going to be horses, and someone who could help me understand them...I wish you wouldn't live so far (away), so I could get more tips from you."........Natasha

Clinic Reviews from Quathiaski Cove, BC...

"I have had (my horse) in a gravel pit pond a couple of times since you rode her and she went in willingly, but funny, she started to look at it from quite a distance away, but when she got up to it, (she) was very calm and went in first with her stable buddy right behind. We spent several minutes splashing about and getting my tack quite wet. Then I rode her in a couple days later by herself and she was very good, so I guess that boogie man is put to rest. Thanks!".........Alice H.

"Great presentation! I learned more this weekend than at any other clinic."........Jane D.

"Really enjoyed the weekend clinic with Steve. He has a great sense of humor and showed remarkable patience with both horses and horse owners."........Celia C.

Clinic Reviews from Olds, Alberta...

"I need to tell you how much I appreciate what you have done for me and how you have changed my whole way of thinking when it comes to horses. Your methods are so incredibly easy and simple and make so much sense. I will never go back to what I used to do when it comes to my horse. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!"........Marilyn L.

"Steve knows horse language."........Kate K.

"Controlling the horse at the nose was very well explained. Now I have much more control of my horse on his back, and he is a lot quieter to ride."......Wendy K.

Clinic Reviews from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia....

"It was very scary, but rewarding when my horse was learning to load. She and I have learned a lot this weekend. I am still nervous about loading her, but I am feeling more confident all of the time. My horse is responding well to the techniques taught at this clinic."......Roxanne S.

"I have learned how to teach my horse to give to softer cues, which I will take home with me and practice on at my barn. This knowledge allows me to be able to apply this information to other horses at my barn, specifically with my youngsters."......Natalia T.

"I learned how to get better control of my horse and how to get him to do more willingly what I ask. This is a new horse that I got this spring, and this clinic gave me something to take home and work on. I have already noticed a change in my horse's attitude since Friday when we came here." ......Norman H.

"Steve is friendly and easy to approach. He answers questions in a way that everyone understands. Enjoyed this clinic. Thanks! Learned a lot about patience." ........Myra & Jolyn B.

Clinic Reviews from Manitoulin Island, ON....

"I thought that the clinic was extremely educational. It was a real eye opener to new and effective ways of training. The experience was well worth it."......Doug A.

"Thank you, Steve. You have reinforced my concepts of horse behavior. I have several years of training experience and they are mostly based on old school concepts. You have inspired me to learn more about using cues that the horse can understand. Thank you for the experience."........Don M.

Clinic Reviews from Maple Ridge, BC...

"Steve was an incredible example of how not to be emotional and always full of love for the horse (even when being tough), and above all, an inspiration in his methods. Thank you Steve! I really appreciate how positive you are.".......Bryoni M.

"I have gained confidence through Steve's positive comments on what I have done good. I have learned a sense of timing and also the importance of torque.... In addition I learned some techniques on how to get control of my horse in excited situations. Just the exposure to the environment helped my horse and I to become better listeners to each other."........Terri-Lynn W.

"The whole concept of the height of the head and being aware of every bit of pressure was something I was never aware of. (Also) the three points of the horse and always having control of the nose. Go where you can and not where you can't is very valuable. And the emergency brake!!...Thank you Steve. It was an honor and a pleasure to have been taught by you."......Linda B.
